At RetroExchange, we want you to shop with confidence. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help.


30-Day Return Window

You have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return (Australian customers only).


Broken or “Sold as Broken” Items

Items listed and sold as “Broken,” “For Parts,” or “Not Working” are not eligible for return or refund.
These products are sold strictly for parts, repair, or collection purposes only.

Due to the potential for internal modification, dismantling, or changes in condition after purchase — and the safety risks associated with attempting to operate or repair these items — RetroExchange cannot accept returns or issue refunds for any items sold under these conditions.


Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • In the same condition you received it
  • Unworn, unused, and in original packaging, including all accessories, manuals, and tags (if applicable)
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase
  • Your order never left Australia
  • Your item was NOT sold as broken, for parts, or not working

International Orders

All international sales are sold as is and are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable.
Once shipped, no returns, exchanges, or change-of-mind requests will be accepted for orders delivered outside Australia.


How to Start a Return (Australia Only)

Email us at info@retroexchange.com.au to request a return.

Return instructions and the return address will be provided once your return request has been received and approved via email.
Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.


Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon arrival.
If an item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us immediately so we can assess the issue and resolve it.


Change-of-Mind Returns

Change-of-mind returns and refunds are not guaranteed and are approved solely at the discretion of RetroExchange.
Each request will be reviewed individually based on the item, condition, and circumstances.

Return postage is to be paid by the buyer and not at the cost of RetroExchange.


Non-Returnable Items

Some items cannot be returned, including:

  • Perishable goods
  • Custom or personalised items
  • Personal care or hygiene products
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
  • Sale items and gift cards
  • Items that were originally sold as broken, for parts, or not working

Exchanges

For the fastest turnaround, return the item first (if approved). Once accepted, you can place a separate order for the replacement.


Refunds

Once your return/item is received by RetroExchange and inspected, we’ll notify you of approval or rejection.
If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Your bank or card provider may take additional time to finalise the refund.
